    What is a  Tipper Truck?

This article just lightly explains what a tipper trucks is used for and is basically here to assist those who would like some more information on what these construction machines are used for and the advantages are of hiring one.

A Tipper is a truck having a rear platform which can be raised at its front end, thus enabling a load to be discharged. Most people also know this as a Tipper Truck or a Dump truck.

dump truck (or a tipper truck) is a truck used for transporting loose material (such as sandgravel, or dirt) for construction. A typical dump truck is equipped with an open-box bed, which is hinged at the rear and equipped with hydraulic pistons to lift the front, allowing the material in the bed to be deposited (“dumped”) on the ground behind the truck at the site of delivery.  The term applies to off-road construction plant only, and the road vehicle is known as a tippertipper lorry.

Why make use of a Tipper Truck?

    Construction services

Construction projects are one of the most common uses for dump trucks. These tipper trucks can fulfil a number of functions at a construction site, including hauling in the building materials then hauling out any torn down parts. The large, sturdy tires of the dump/ tipper truck makes it ideal for construction sites as well, as the tires will withstand sharp nails and debris that could be harmful on regular-grade tires.

    Transporting Materials

A tipper truck’s deep bed makes it a natural transporter for materials for projects like gardening or redecorating. Heavy bags of soils and large furniture like sofas or mattresses are easily moved from vendor to buyer with a dump/ tipper truck, and a rented tipper truck with professional driver can be a clever solution if you have a large haul and aren’t sure how to get it where it needs to go.

What are the advantages of using a tipper?

Dump trailers or also known as Tippers/ Tipper trucks come in a few basic configurations: semi-trailer end tippers, bottom tippers side tippers, pups and transfers. While regional weight and axle spacing regulations often determine the best choice for the application, you should be aware of which application each is best suited to perform, as well as advantages and disadvantages.

End Tippers handle the tough stuff
End dump tipper trailers allow you to carry larger loads than a standard tipper truck, plus offer rapid unloading. They are also capable of hauling difficult materials, such as large demolition debris.

End tippers usually have a heavy-sided design that enables them to handle such abusive material.

A key disadvantage is that they can be unstable when raised in the dump position, especially in applications where the dumping location is uneven or off level.
